Description

Rabbit and Mouse find a mitten! But who could it belong to? Join the two friends as they journey through the forest in this graphic novel for emerging readers.

An ALA Best Graphic Novels for Children Reading List Selection

Oh no! A lost red mitten. Rabbit and Mouse want to return the mitten, but first they’ll have to figure out who it belongs to. Squirrel? No. Badger? Nope. As they continue through the forest and meet new creatures, Rabbit and Mouse are excited to find the real owner. They’re doing a good deed!

But when the time comes, can Rabbit give up the mitten? Red is his favorite color, after all! With a knowing ear and eye for the moods of young children, Jannie Ho has crafted a tale about doing the right thing (even if it’s hard) for young readers with bright colors and cute woodland figures. Simple panels and targeted vocabulary will aid beginning readers as they enjoy the gentle banter between true friends.

I Like to Read® Comics are perfect for kids who are challenged by or unengaged in reading, kids who love art, and the growing number of young comics fans. Filled with eye-catching art, humor, and terrific stories, these comics provide unique reading experiences for growing minds. I Like to Read® Comics, like their award-winning I Like to Read® counterpart, are created by celebrated artists and support reading comprehension to transform children into lifelong readers.
